Collect Specimens & Have Them Analyzed
Do you suspect that the golf course chemicals, lawn chemicals, herbicides, pesticides...being applied in your area present a health risk to you and your family, including pets? If you even remotely believe that chemicals of this nature may be a health risk, here is a recommendation.
On the day chemicals are applied to the grass, carefully collect blades of grass from the golf course, a urine specimen from family members you suspect may be "sensitive", and take them to a toxicology laboratory for analysis.
The University of Arizona has a veterinary laboratory as well as a toxicology department. They may have specific guidelines or recommendations for the collection, storage, transportation of your samples. I recommend contacting them prior to collecting your samples.
This problem is no joke. Did you know that bladder cancer related to "lawn chemicals" was first identified in a Scottish Terriers?
So a word to the wise...Start posting. We need a coordinated effort with lots of input. Silence is not golden.
